Sabre Cherkowski, PhD, is Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Programs in the Okanagan School of Education at the University of British Columbia. She teaches and researches in the areas of leadership, professional learning and development, mentoring and coaching, and diversity and education. With her colleagues, she recently completed a multi-year, SSHRC-funded research project examining teacher wellbeing from a positive organizational perspective. She is currently engaged in a second SSHRC-funded research project on wellbeing, examining positive leadership in schools as a catalyst for sustainable school improvement. She brings her experiences as a teacher, coach, and parent to her passion for exploring what it means to flourish in work and life.
