ABOUT THIS EDITION

Creating the Conditions for Learning and Wellbeing

Learning and wellbeing are not separate goals but mutually reinforcing foundations for human flourishing. Students learn best when they are well, and academic success strengthens and enhances wellbeing. This reciprocal relationship also applies to educators: supporting student success contributes meaningfully to educator wellbeing.

The 2025–2026 edition of Education Canada explores a central question: How can we create the conditions for learning and wellbeing in our classrooms, schools, and across the education system?
