Jennifer-Amy Murphy

Director, National Program Initiatives, Shad Canada

Jennifer Murphy is an educator, systems thinker, and foresight practitioner who leads national initiatives at Shad Canada, expanding its month-long STEAM and entrepreneurship program nationwide.

She began her career as a teacher and Special Education Consultant with the Limestone District School Board, where she advanced learning for all by coaching educators through a Universal Design for Learning lens. She holds a Master of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University, where her research explored the future of Ontario’s universities. She earned degrees in Life Science and Education from Queen’s University and pursued continuing education at Columbia University and Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.

She serves on the Waterloo Public Library Board and volunteers with the adaptive program at Skate Canada. Applying systems thinking and foresight, she enables young people to reimagine and design their future while sparking transformation across institutions and communities.
