Dr. Schira Hagerman studies the development of digital literacies skills in contexts of schooling, and pedagogies that support these skills. She is particularly interested in academic digital literacies – how children come to construct integrated understandings of topics they research online, and how teachers can support the development of those skills. She also studies models of teacher professional development that seem especially supportive of teachers’ growth as confident integrators of diverse digital tools to support student learning.
