Ignite Your Passion for Discovery is a powerful evening of short, energizing presentations combined with networking and engaging conversations. This is the fourth season Discovery Education has hosted these events across the country.
Here’s a brief summary of our events from previous years to give you a better sense of these great networking events.
This year’s sub-theme is “Surprisingly Awesome: Shining Light and Finding Joy in the Ordinary” Presenters will be sharing their personal stories of experiences or learning that has brought them joy. Each presenter will be sharing in the Ignite format which is a 5-minute presentation that features 20 slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds. It’s a fast-paced format to be sure. Each presentation will also end with a question that is intended to spark your curiosity and provoke conversation.
Along with this format, you’ll have a chance to network and interact with fellow educators. The evening is sponsored by Discovery Education. As community manager for Canada, it’s my mission to grow and support our community and these types of events are one way we work to serve educators and connect them to their most valuable resource… each other.
This particular event is part of the EdCan conference on Well-Being. If you’re able to take advantage of this conference feel free to register.
