Kristen Ferguson

Kristen Ferguson is a Professor of Education and the Dr. Elizabeth Thorn Chair in Literacy at Nipissing University. Kristen is also the Interim Associate Dean of the Schulich School of Education at Nipissing.  She is a qualified teacher for the primary, junior, intermediate and senior grades and taught elementary school in northeastern Ontario before her academic appointment at Nipissing.  She holds a PhD in Education: Language, Culture, and Teaching from York University.  Her research interests include literacy education, teacher professional development, and education worker mental health, stress, and coping.
