Privacy Policy

The EdCan Network collects no personal information about you, unless you choose to provide that information to us. The following processes require the submission of personal information: donating to the EdCan Network, becoming a member of the EdCan Network, signing up for e-newsletters, subscribing to Education Canada, registering for events, and contacting the EdCan Network regarding your project. Any personally identifiable data about the EdCan Network members, subscribers, customers or website visitors is stored securely and used only for the purpose for which it is provided to us. The EdCan Network processes credit card payments through a secure server.

To opt-out of receiving communications you have expressly requested, use the following methods:

  • Select the e-mail “unsubscribe” link, or follow the opt-out instructions included in each subscription communications.
  • Write to the EdCan Network Privacy Officer. Be sure to provide your name, e-mail and postal address, and relevant information about your EdCan Network subscriptions and registrations.

The EdCan Network does regularly collect aggregate data about site visitors through site statistics. The purpose is to track overall patterns of site activity. We do not sell this data to any third-party. We may share aggregate statistics with partners and potential partners of the EdCan Network.

Certain forms on the website use the reCAPTCHA service from Google, which sends hardware and software information to Google for the purpose of ensuring that users of the website aren’t filling out forms using automation tools. The information provided is also used to improve the reCAPTCHA service and for general security purposes.

This statement discloses the privacy practices for the EdCan Network website only (www.edcan.ca). The EdCan Network website contains links to other sites. Once you link to another site, you are subject to the privacy and security policies of the new site. The EdCan Network encourages you to read the privacy policies of all websites you visit.

Any changes to the EdCan Network’s Privacy Policy, will be posted, and this document updated from time to time. This ensures that our visitors are always made aware of the kind of information we collect online, the way we use it, and the choices we make available to them.
