Free, quality primary and secondary education prepares young people to be contributing members of society. The EdCan Network is a national charitable organization dedicated to supporting the work of education professionals by bridging the gap between research and practice and translating evidence into usable knowledge that can be applied in schools and school systems. We are recruiting a fund development committee to identify funding opportunities and to enhance the impact of EdCan’s 2026-2030 Strategic Plan.

- Deepen network engagement, making it easier to learn from colleagues and share learning across jurisdictions
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
The EdCan Network is 3-4 individuals with experience in philanthropy to join our fund development committee. The committee will work with the Executive Director to:
- Develop a fund development strategy
- Identify grant, sponsorship and donor prospects
- Develop donor personas and a case for support
- Support the preparation of grant applications
COMMITMENT REQUIRED
The fund development committee will meet every 4-6 weeks. In addition to participating in meetings, committee members will provide active support in the areas noted above.
