“I have been an educator with Regina Public Schools for 18 years. For the past thirteen years I have worked as a school administrator in five unique pre-kindergarten to grade 8 schools. Currently I am the principal at Seven Stones Community School, which opened in 2014 offering an innovative, open concept, 21st century learning model. Our team at Seven Stones has created a flexible, student-centered and collaborative environment emphasizing inquiry-based learning and community engagement.”
I am the current CPF PEI Executive Director. Our mission is to provide opportunities for young Canadians to learn and use French (as an additional language). My job description for our small non-profit is large, including facilitating meetings, delivering multiple programs and projects, advocacy to all levels of government and all those things in between.
Don Glendenning spent a lifetime serving the cause of education. Born and raised in a farming community on the banks of the Miramichi in New Brunswick, he attended the little Branch School, the Miramichi Rural High School (the first of its kind in that Province), New Brunswick Teachers’ College and the New Brunswick Institute of Technology and was both a teacher and principal in the New Brunswick education system.
He is probably best known in his role as Founding President of Holland College where he served for 18 years. During his tenure, Holland College was known for its individualized and competency based learning model, the School of Visual Arts, the Atlantic Police Academy and the Culinary Institute of Canada.
His interests and experience included head of Vocational Teacher Training at NBIT. international consulting on education, a founding member of the Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island, membership in national education organizations including President of the Canadian Vocational Association, represented Canada on two occasions at OECD meetings in Paris. Publications include a History of involvement of the Federal Government in Technical and Vocational Education, newsletters for a number of organizations, chapter in a book on technical education in Mexico, column in the Canadian Vocational Journal
Along the way, he earned a Ph.D., was awarded the Order of Canada, and an Ll. D (hon), Rotary mentorship ward with the Charlottetown Rotary, and an LLD. From UPEI.

Barry Dyck has taught for over 28 years from Grade 4 to university level. He is currently in a new position teaching Grade 9 multimedia in Winnipeg, Man., where he’s working to get students in Grades 5-9 involved in creating content for the school’s daily YouTube broadcast while also preparing for a future podcast channel.

Caroline Viau en est à sa 20e année en enseignement. Pédagogue de coeur, elle a toujours oeuvré dans les écoles secondaires de l’Ontario ou au service de celles-ci en tant qu’enseignante de français, rédactrice pédagogique, enseignante en ligne ou conseillère pédagogique en EED. Normand Lessard devoted over 33 years of his career as a highly respected education leader in Quebec. Prior to his current role as Secretary General for l’Association des directions générales scolaires du Québec (ADGSQ), he was Director General of the centre de services scolaire de la Beauce-Etchemin for 13 years, where he implemented an ambitious innovation agenda to champion the needs of every student.
