Join the Freggie™ Veggie Challenge and run a chance to win $1000
The Freggie™ Veggie Challenge is an exciting and easy online challenge for you and your students to participate in and learn more about healthy lifestyles, including the importance of fruits and veggies.
In addition to taking part in the Challenge for free, you run a chance of winning one of the four $1000 cheques to spend on educational resources for your classroom.
The Freggie™ Veggie Challenge will be held in February 2022 and will feature a series of fun games and activities encouraging students to think about healthy eating. The Challenge will be hosted on Gametize, a user-friendly platform that allows you participate in activities with your students as a group.
Activities lined up for the upcoming Challenge include:
- Answering fun questions about fruits and veggies,
- Watching exciting videos,
- Uploading photos of activities, and more.
To be eligible to win one of the four $1000 prizes, you will be required to complete at least one activity per week to earn points to be entered into a draw.
Freggie™ Children’s Program, the youth component of the Half Your Plate program, was developed by the Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) to raise awareness of healthy eating and encourage children to eat more fruits and vegetables. Along with offering free curriculum lesson plans for teachers, the program also features exciting challenges throughout the year.
