Candace Nykiforuk, PhD, CE, is Director of the Centre for Healthy Communities and a professor in the School of Public Health, University of Alberta. She is Lead Investigator of the Policy, Location, and Access in Community Environments (PLACE) Research Lab, which focuses on examining the role of built, social and policy environments on community health and well-being.
